Hello!

We're soft launching CherryVM.  We're still working on a design/layout/marketing for the site so for now it's just our management portal.

CherryVM specializes in Auto-Scaling "Self-Managed" shared hosting services.  The reason we're able to offer the pricing we do is by only providing support for what is absolutely necessary and only promising two business day initial support response time.  While we expect that we will likely respond significantly faster than that we would rather under-promise and over-deliver.

We monitor our services on a per-second basis internally and on a by-the-minute basis externally. If there are any service issues they will be resolved as quickly as possible.  You are always welcome to reach out to our support if you are experiencing an issue and we'll be happy to give things a look.

Our Auto-Scaling model is that we include a basic amount of resources that will fit many low-usage sites at a low initial price.  Our first service offering, EPYC-NVMe Denver, includes 1 GB of storage, 250 GB of bandwidth, and 1 MySQL database for $2/month.  This is a reasonable amount of resources for many new or small sites.  As your needs grow - or should you simply need more to begin with - your monthly invoice will include line-items for the usage above what is included at the clearly stated prices listed on the service.  For example if you are using 2 GB of storage on this plan you will be billed $0.30 for the one additional gigabyte of storage used.

We don't want you to experience a shockingly large bill so we've also included "Auto-Scaling Limits" which can be specified when you place your order or at any time afterwards.  These are the limits that you do not want to be billed beyond - for example if you don't want to pay for more than 10 GB no matter what - you can set your disk space auto-scaling limit to 10 GB.  If you just want to be billed for what you use and don't want to worry about it you can maximize the auto-scaling limits.

Additional locations will be coming in the near future and we are looking at locations in Europe, Asia, and other locations in the United States.  The pricing for each location will most likely vary depending on the underlying technologies and the operating costs in the location.  As an example our offerings in Denver are on highly available infrastructure with highly available distributed software defined storage which makes it very reliable and performant but also very expensive for us to operate.  If you have any suggestions on a location you'd like to see our high quality hosting offered from - let us know!

There are a lot of low end / cheap providers out there.  Our goal is to be as reasonably priced as possible while still offering excellent service and reliability.

Thank you,

Michael Denney
